Villager disappearances

My mending villager disappeared while i was chopping wood. I got away from the village to the giant taiga biome and I began mining the wood. After I came back, the mending villager wasn't there. This isn't the first time I went away to get wood for sticks, but this is the Tweakbox Appvalley https://vlc.onl first time that he disappeared. I have 2 fletchers with him, but they didn't despawn, and neither did other villagers nearby. Anyone know why?

(the mending villager was a really good one. he sold mending for 10 emeralds.)
